Program Details:
The mission of the Contemplative Sciences Center (CSC) is combining contemplation, connection, and research to enhance flourishing. This mission is pursued through a variety of programs and initiatives in academic classrooms, residential life, research, scholarship, and social innovation.
The Contemplative Commons building is a hybrid mass timber/steel framed building with a living bridge that connects residence halls to academic builds across Emmet Street. Hourigan worked with Aidlin Darling, VMDO, Springpoint Structural, Nelson Byrd Woltz and UVA to bring the mission statement and
