    Fred Gordy

    Fred Gordy is a SmartBuilding industry expert and thought leader with over 20 years of experience in secure control system development and implementation for Fortune 500 companies throughout the US and abroad. He is one of the first in the SmartBuilding industry to address the inherent risk that control system technology poses. He has authored and participated in over 100 articles and white papers on building control cybersecurity with industry magazines as well as the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and Healthcare publications. His articles have been featured in the US and abroad. In additional to publishing articles, for almost a decade he led control system cyber security workshops, and has been a passionate speaker and teacher, on the subject of building control cybersecurity. Fred has developed control system cybersecurity assessment methodologies and tools based on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework known as BCS-CAMP (Building Control System Cybersecurity Assessment Methods and Procedures). He is currently a member Building Cyber Security which has been building a cybersecurity framework for building control systems based on ISA/IEC 62443.

    Rachel Wilson

    Managing Director and Head of Cybersecurity, Morgan Stanley

    Rachel Wilson spent the first 15 years of her career at the National Security Agency (NSA). Over the course of her NSA career, she held several key senior executive-level leadership positions. Between 2008 and 2010, she ran NSA’s counterterrorism operations and led a global enterprise in detecting and disrupting terrorist plotting against the United States and its allies. Between 2010 and 2012, Rachel served as NSA’s Chief of Operations in the UK working out of the US Embassy in London. In this role, she worked with UK intelligence services to counter terrorist and cyber threats to the 2012 Olympics. Returning to the US in 2012, Rachel spent nearly five years leading NSA’s cyber exploitation operations within NSA’s Tailored Access Operations. In this capacity, she led the planning and execution of thousands of cyber exploitation operations against a wide array of foreign intelligence, military, and cyber targets and served as the committing official for many of NSA’s highest risk and most important intelligence-gathering activities. In April of 2017, Rachel Wilson became the first Head of Cybersecurity for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and Investment Technology. Rachel Wilson is a Managing Director and Head of Cybersecurity for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. She is responsible for protecting the cybersecurity of Wealth Management, Investment Management and Prime Brokerage systems, and the integrity and confidentiality of Firm and client data. Additionally, Rachel advises the leadership of Wealth Management, Investment Management and Prime Brokerage on cybersecurity issues, including secure code development standards, secure network architecture, vendor relationships, advanced persistent threat (APT) detection and mobile security. She also leads field and client education and communication on cyber risk, threats and mitigations. She and her team drive innovation for new cybersecurity and authentication technology. Rachel was recognized by Morgan Stanley Wealth Management as part of the 2019 MAKERS Class, a program that honours women who serve as ground breakers, innovators and advocates. She was also named one of the Top Women in WealthTech 2020 by ThinkAdvisor. In her private capacity, Rachel advises individuals, corporations and institutions on cybersecurity best practices and strategies. She serves on the Advisory Board of WATSCO Inc (NYSE: WSO) and the CISO Advisory Board of Amgen Inc (NASDAQ: AMGN). Rachel Wilson is a sought after speaker for technology, financial, and professional forums and has recently keynoted the Barron’s Top 100, the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) 401k Annual summit, the Portfolio Management Institute (PMI) Annual Conference, the Association of Professional Investment Consultants (APIC) Annual Conference, and the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals Annual Conference. Rachel is a leading thinker on protecting children and teenagers from cyber threats and loves educating young people and their parents on how to be safe citizens on the internet. Rachel holds a BA from Wellesley College and an MA from the University of Chicago. Rachel and her husband live in New York City with their two children.

    Carola Lavén

    CEO and Board Member, Besqab AB

    Carola Lavén has a broard real estate knowledge after nearly 30 years within the industry. She has worked within top management roles for different companies mainly covering the Nordic countries. She has a broard experience within all asset classes as office, retail, logistic and residentials as well as aqusition, management and development. Today Carola is CEO of Besqab – a listed company on Nasdaq. Besaqab develop and sell condominiums to consumers. The company also develop rental apartments and eldary care for own management. Before Besqab she was Investment Director and vice president at Castellum and before that she was Head of Property Development at NCC Nordic and Business Development Manager at Atrium Ljungberg. She started her career at Skanska. Other significant assignments: Board member of Veidekke ASA, Ersta Diakoni and Bofrämjandet.

    Tassos Kotzanastassis

    8G Capital Partners Limited

    Tassos is the founder and managing director of 8G Capital Partners, a private equity real estate firm active in Europe and Asia. As a principal, 8GCP invests in real estate directly and indirectly as well as in property technology companies (proptech). Tassos founded 8GCP following a successful career in some of the most prominent firms in the industry: HSBC Group, PRICOA P.I.M. (now Pramerica Real Estate Investors Europe), Henderson Investors and IPD (now MSCI). Tassos is a Global Governing Trustee of the Urban Land Council. He is a regular speaker at conferences and contributor to the financial and the property press on property investment. He holds a BSc (Hons.) in Economics & Accounting from the University of Bristol and an MSc in Land Management from the University of Reading. He has earned a number of investment management qualifications. He is a CFA charter holder and a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS).

    Lisette Van Doorn

    Chief Executive Officer, Urban Land Institute

    As chief executive of ULI Europe, Lisette van Doorn is responsible for the development of the Institute’s activities across the region, including its renowned pan-European conferences and over 250 local meetings and events across 14 countries. She is responsible for working with ULI’s staff both locally and globally to deliver more high profile content and reports; coordinating Advisory Services panels and Urban Plan; and expanding the Institute’s thought leadership across Europe. Van Doorn joined ULI in January 2015 from LIRE, her own consultancy business, which advises international institutional real estate investors and fund managers on strategy, organisational optimisation and portfolio structuring. Prior to this, van Doorn was country manager for CBRE Global Investors where she managed a €1.6bn portfolio of assets in Italy and fund manager of two shopping centre funds (€ 1.3 billion) with assets in Spain, Portugal and Italy. Before joining CBRE Global Investors, van Doorn was founding chief executive for INREV, the European association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles for four and a half years. Van Doorn started her career at ING Investment Management, where she held account manager and assistant controller positions before being made managing director of research & strategy for ING Real Estate Investment Management Europe.
