ULI Hong Kong: Driving Climate Resilience for Hong Kong Buildings – Multistakeholder Workshop
Fee:
Member HKD 180
Non-member: HKD 380
(Price includes light refreshments)
Hong Kong’s buildings are facing risks from rising temperatures, humidity, typhoons, and evolving intensity with climate change. This semi-curated workshop, hosted by the Decarbonisation and Resilience Committee, convenes a diverse group of stakeholders across the full construction value chain. Designed to foster diverse perspectives, it creates an intimate setting for an evening of focused brainstorming and collaborative problem-solving.
The session will unfold in three parts:
1. Initial Sharing – Selected participants will highlight how their organizations are actively strengthening building resilience, the opportunities they see, and how climate considerations shape their decisions.
2. Table Discussion – Participants will reflect on how climate risks and resilience have influenced choices in the way they live and work within Hong Kong’s buildings.
3. Deep Dive – A focused exploration of one specific building-related climate risk and its mitigation strategies. Together, participants will imagine a future where this risk has been successfully addressed, mapping the journey to resilient buildings and the contributions made by individuals in their professional roles.
This workshop is designed to spark dialogue, foster collaboration, and build a shared vision for climate-resilient buildings in Hong Kong.
