ULI Hong Kong x ARUP
Join the Future-proofing Challenge!
From Aspiration to Implementation
29 November & 6 December 2024 |12:30 PM - 6:30PM | In-Person
ULI Hong Kong is delighted to offer our members an innovative, super-charged and impactful experience. Leveraging Arup’s expertise and ULI’s unique interdisciplinary member base, attendees will work together in small, interdisciplinary teams, deploying blue sky and silo-busting thinking to create retrofitting solutions based on two actual districts in Hong Kong.
After spending 2 afternoons with us, you will gain:
- Experiential, peer-based learning from a host of cross sector experts from Arup and ULI leaders - presentations will be kept short, the emphasis will be on interactive discussions and sharing within small groups;
- Look at retrofitting from the "aspirational silos" of NATURE, CLIMATE, SOCIAL and VALUE - then proceed to "bust" these silos by implementing holistic solutions;
- Form valuable connections and relationships with your fellow members in Hong Kong and GBA, and get to know the leaders in the ULI community;
- YOU will contribute towards a short paper outlining pragmatic solutions that could boost the liveability and resilience of Hong Kong. This will be shared with the wider ULI community, and can be used for new developments in Hong Kong, GBA and beyond.
Speaker lineup:
Aaron Sun - Associate Director, Advisory Services, Greater Bay Area, Arup
Andrew Macpherson - Executive Director, Head of Asset Development Asia Pacific, JLL
Bruce Chong - Fellow and Director, Climate & Sustainability, Arup
Chinmoy Sarkar - Associate Professor of GIS, Urban Health and Environment at the Department of Urban Planning and Design, The University of Hong Kong
