    Graeme Torre

    Managing Director and Head of Real Estate, APG Asset Management Asia

    Graeme Torre is Managing Director and Head of Real Estate, APG Asset Management Asia. Based in the Hong Kong office he is responsible for the private and public market real estate portfolios in Asia Pacific. Prior to joining APG in 2017, Graeme was Managing Director, Asia Pacific for Invesco Real Estate (formerly AIG Global Real Estate) and prior to that Head of Asia Property for Henderson Global Investors. Graeme has covered the Asia Pacific markets for over 20 years investing across the risk spectrum in both public and private sectors. He is a member of APG’s Global Real Estate Management Team, Global Real Estate Investment Committee as well as being a member of the APG Asset Management Committee for Investment Proposals. A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, he holds a Masters in Finance from University College Dublin.

    Christine Loh

    Chief Development Strategist, Institute for the Environment, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

    Christine Loh is Chief Development Strategist at the Institute for the Environment at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and Visiting Scholar at Center for Global Management, the Anderson School of Management, UCLA. She was formerly Undersecretary for the Environment in Hong Kong. In her role, she created new dialogue platforms between the government and business sectors to strengthen Hong Kong’s capacity to meet climate change and environmental challenges. Prof. Loh currently serves as Director and trustee of CDP Worldwide, and holds directorships in the Global Maritime Forum, New Forests Pty Limited, and Towngas Smart Energy Company Limited. She is also a member of BASF’s Stakeholder Advisory Council. Prof. Loh has been involved in non-profit activities ranging from the arts to the environment, to urban development to equal opportunity and constitutional reform. She is well known for her work in designing and facilitating multi-stakeholder dialogue processes to help deepen and broaden understanding on public issues. Prof. Loh holds a Master of Law degree in Chinese and Comparative Law from City University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Hull. She has been awarded the Honorary degrees of Doctor of Law by University of Hull and Doctor of Science by University of Exeter.

    Ivan Ho

    CEO, Hong Kong, KaiLong Investment Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd

    Executive Committee Member, CRECCHKI Master of Laws (LLM) in Chinese Business Law - Chinese University of Hong Kong BBA - Simon Fraser University, Canada CFA Charterholder Mr. Ho has more than 15 years' experience in China real estate investment and development. Starting from 2010 with KaiLong, Mr. Ho mainly focuses on fundraising, fund management, acquisitions and business development for the company. He is one of the founding members of KaiLong’s maiden USD, GBP and HKD funds. Prior to that, Mr. Ho had worked with Bank of China Group Investment and Charoen Pokphand Group focusing on commercial real estate investment and supervision of China real estate portfolio.

    Stephanie Lo

    Vice Chairman and Executive Director, Shui On Land

    Ms. Stephanie LO is Executive Director at Shui On Land [272 HK], a leading real estate developer developing and operating premium residential, commercial and cultural properties in the Mainland China. Stephanie is also the Vice Chairman of Shui On Xintiandi, an asset manager of all Shui On Land’s commercial portfolio and development pipeline. Stephanie takes the lead on corporate development, business and product innovation of the Group and also assists the Chairman to define and execute on the long-term strategy for the group.  Stephanie joined Shui On Land in 2012. Prior to joining the Group, Stephanie worked for various architecture and design firms in New York City, amongst which was Studio Sofield, a firm well-known for its capability in retail design and hospitality. Stephanie currently serves as a member of the Fourteenth Shanghai Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. She was designated a fellow of Aspen Institute’s China Fellowship program and selected as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in 2020. Stephanie was appointed as a Non-executive Director of SOCAM Development Limited in January 2019. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from Wellesley College in Massachusetts.

    Tim Lo

    Head of System Development, BEAM Society Limited

    Tim is a practicing urban planner, surveyor and project director with extensive experience in planning, engineering and managing smart city and digital infrastructures to drive social and environmental goals. He is the Head of System Development at BEAM Society Limited, a green building certification body based in Hong Kong and the Associate Director of Tembusu Asia Consulting, a sustainability consulting company based in Singapore. Tim spearheaded the development of iBEAM Assessment Automation System and the iBEAM Unison plugin, aiming to harmonize the environmental and social sustainability data in building information modeling and providing a one-stop digital solution for green building professionals to analyze the green performances of their properties in a digital environment. Additionally, Tim has directed the development of BEAM Plus portfolio assessment scheme, which enables asset managers to better evaluate the green management and energy usage of their existing building portfolios. Finally, Tim has provided sustainability and environmental design and ESG consultancies for various private and public organizations in Asia.

    Erika Rodriguez

    Principal, Sustainable Investing & ESG (ESG APAC), KKR

    Erika Rodriguez, based in Hong Kong, supports KKR’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainable investing work across its investment portfolio, particularly for KKR’s portfolios in APAC. Prior to joining KKR, she was the Group ESG Director at FWD Group, a Pan-Asian insurance company based in Hong Kong, where she helped develop their ESG initiatives. Erika has a diverse set of ESG and sustainability-focused experience, including at ERM, Patagonia Inc., International Flavors & Fragrances Inc., PVH Corp., and Eileen Fisher Inc. Erika also brings strong exposure to relevant NGOs and standard setting bodies such as Carbonfund.org, Wildlife Conservation Society, and the US Green Building Council. Erika holds a Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy (MPA ESP) from Columbia University. Born and raised in the Philippines, Erika has lived and worked for multinational companies headquartered in Washington, D.C., New York, California, London, Manila, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.

    Winnie Ho Wing-yin, JP

    Secretary for Housing, The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region

    Ms Ho is appointed the Secretary for Housing on 1 July 2022. Ms Ho joined the Government as Architect in 1992 and was promoted to Chief Architect in 2009, and to Government Architect in 2012. She was appointed the Director of Architectural Services in 2020. Apart from serving in the Architectural Services Department, Ms Ho had been posted to work as the Deputy Head of Energizing Kowloon East Office under the Development Bureau. During the out-break of COVID-19 in 2020 to 2022, she has actively participated in the construction of quarantine facilities, temporary hospitals and community isolation facilities at Penny’s Bay, Kai Tak and many other locations by adoption of Modular Integrated Construction method. Ms Ho graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of The University of Hong Kong. She also attended the Advanced Management Program of INSEAD in France. She is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects and a Registered Architect.

    Hannah Jeong

    Executive Director, Head of Valuation & Advisory Services, Hong Kong, Colliers

    Hannah has over 17 years of experience in valuation, advisory, development consultancy, financial analysis and feasibility studies. Her career started in Hong Kong and has expanded into Asia Pacific and the Middle East with increased scope from major international clients. Appointed as Head of Valuation & Advisory Services for Colliers in Hong Kong in April 2018, Hannah oversees the business lines operation and is responsible for account management, winning new business, project delivery and identifying evolving sectors, such as data centre, ESG Advisory and cold storage. Her track record includes successful projects with large financial institutions, real estate companies and private equity firms such as Link REIT, Prosperity REIT, Champion REIT, Sunlight REIT, Goodman, PAG, Angelo Gordon and Kailong. She is also an active member of multiple Women in Business committees, where she helps drive awareness and initiatives around women empowerment and gender equality in the workplace. Hannah obtained a master’s degree in real estate from the University of Hong Kong, and a bachelor’s degree majoring in urban planning from the University of Hong Kong. She is a member of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors.

    Ellie Tang

    Director, Sustainable Investing, Fidelity International

    Based in Hong Kong, Ellie is responsible for the integration of sustainability considerations into Fidelity’s real estate investments and supporting the firm in areas including proprietary sustainability ratings, engagement and voting activities with investee companies, as well as sustainability product offerings. Ellie joined Fidelity from the Hong Kong-listed real estate company, New World Development, where she was Head of Sustainability. Previously, she held sustainability positions at Link Asset Management and HSBC. Ellie holds a Master of Public Administration degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Environmental Studies from Emory University. She serves on the Urban Land Institute Hong Kong Executive Committee and is also a WELL AP.

    Wendy Tsai

    Project Director, The Oval Partnership, Ltd.

    Wendy Tsai is a Registered Architect with international experience and multidisciplinary expertise in retail and hospitality, residential, master planning, interior and FF&E design. Highly perceptive to the macro swings in trends and tuned into the social impacts these have on community building and demographic shifts, Wendy approaches design with a strategic planning vision, that ventures beyond the physical built environment. Leveraging wide interests and understanding diverse perspectives, she works with client teams to curate bespoke narratives and develop holistic product positioning that continually evolve and adapt with time. Having graduated with honors in Architecture at Cornell University and Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, Wendy went on to work in both New York and Shanghai with Leslie Gills, Rafael de Cárdenas and Neri&Hu prior to joining The Oval Partnership. Attentive to details and sensitive to both east and west traditions and values, she has led projects of considerable global influence such as Lane Crawford, MCM, Vanke, Shui On, New World Group, and Bloomberg. Wendy is an active member of Urban Land Institute in Hong Kong, and sits on the executive committee of the Young Leaders Group (YLG) and ULI NEXT. Together with her peers and mentors, she has hosted the Reinjecting Purpose into Real Estate series that aims to raise awareness, connect the likeminded, and foster opportunities for leaders in the industry and local interests groups, empowering them to come together and innovate the way we think, work, and live with resilience.

    Susheela Rivers

    Managing Partner Hong Kong and Head of Real Estate Asia Pacific, DLA Piper

    Susheela Rivers is a real estate lawyer with over 28 years' experience of helping clients with complex, multi-faceted cross-border and domestic real estate transactions throughout Asia (including China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, India, Indonesia, and Vietnam) and the UK. She advises on all aspects of structuring real estate investment and development portfolios including acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and developments for stand-alone assets and portfolios across all asset classes. Susheela helps clients with a wide range of real estate matters, focusing particularly on M&A transactions, financings, developments, leases, and fractionalising real estate including real estate tokenisation. She has in-depth knowledge of the hospitality and leisure spheres and a particular focus on real estate with operational aspects. She advises international and regional property companies, real estate fund managers and investors, private equity funds, hotel groups, retailers, investment banks and major corporate occupiers on all aspects of real estate transactions, from structuring investments, developments, project and investment management, through to real estate operation and exit strategies. Susheela regularly speaks on real estate topics at conferences. She is a Global Governing Trustee at Urban Land Institute (ULI), the oldest and largest network of cross-disciplinary real estate and land use experts in the world, and Vice-Chair of ULI Hong Kong. She is also Global Co-Chair of the DLA Piper Leadership Alliance for Women (LAW), in which she supports gender balance at all levels by strengthening the influence, leadership and voice of women both within the firm and the wider community. Susheela is an active supporter of Hong Kong’s community and a board member of the leading NGO Community Business, where she commits to advancing responsible and inclusive business practices in Asia. She is also an executive committee member of the British Chamber of Commerce HK.

    Clement Lau

    Director & Head of Development & Valuations, Commercial Property, Hongkong Land Limited

    Clement Lau is the Director and Head of Development and Valuations, Commercial Property of Hongkong Land. His role includes to identify, evaluate and implement commercial property developments and investments for the Company in Hong Kong. In addition, he undertakes and oversees the valuations of the Company’s commercial investment portfolio with market value exceeding USD 33 billion at end Dec 2021 as well as the performance of the hotel properties owned by the Company. Clement is a Fellow of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and a Member of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. He was the RICS President during 2021-22. Clement holds the degree of Bachelor of Building with Honours Class 1 from The University of New South Wales (UNSW) and Master of Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He serves as a director of the UNSW Hong Kong Foundation Board, and is a member of the Industry Advisory Board under the Department of Real Estate and Construction of The University of Hong Kong.

    Nicholas Brooke

    Chairman, Professional Property Services Group

    Nicholas Brooke who has lived in Hong Kong for the last 40 years is a Chartered Surveyor by profession and a Justice of the Peace (JP) and the Chairman of Professional Property Services Limited which is a specialist consultancy, based in Hong Kong, providing a selected range of advisory services across the Asia Pacific Region. He is a recognized authority on land administration and planning matters and is very much involved with a series of initiatives designed to improve the quality of life in Hong Kong and to enhance the built environment for the benefit of future generations. Mr. Brooke is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Asia Pacific, of which he is also a Lifetime Trustee. Mr. Brooke is also a keen advocate of the importance of innovation and technology here in Hong Kong and was closely involved with the establishment of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, joining the Board in May 2001 and leading the development of all three phases of Hong Kong Science Park until he stepped down as Chairman in June 2014. Subsequently Mr Brooke became the Chairman of the HK Harbourfront Commission and led a series of initiatives to enhance the Victoria Harbour waterfront. He is a former member of the Housing Authority and a previous Deputy Chairman of the Town Planning Board. Mr. Brooke is the Principal Advisor to the APEC Policy Partnership on Science, Technology and Innovation (PPSTI) which provides guidance to APEC and its 21 member economies on the priorities and projects to be pursued in responding to the challenges faced in the current rapidly changing world, largely in the fields of science, technology and innovation. Mr. Brooke was awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star (GBS) in July 2018 in recognition of his distinguished public and community service.

    Ron Pressman

    Global CEO, Urban Land Institute

    January 2008 Ronald R. Pressman is president and chief executive officer of GE Real Estate, one of the world’s largest and most diversified commercial real estate finance and investment firms, with a presence in 28 countries and a portfolio with more than $59 billion in assets. A 27-year GE veteran, Mr. Pressman most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Asset Management, a global investment business with approximately $197 billion in assets under management. In this role he was responsible for the management of more than 200 institutional client accounts, GE's primary U.S. pension plan, the GE Savings and Security 401(k) plan and a variety of GE-affiliated insurance accounts. Mr. Pressman serves as a member of the Corporate Executive Council and is a director of GE Capital Services Inc. and GE Capital Corporation Boards. He was elected an officer of GE in 1993 and senior vice president in July 2000. Earlier in his career, Mr. Pressman has held a wide variety of roles on Wall Street to global business leadership roles in Europe and in the U.S. He was president and CEO of GE Insurance, and chairman, president and CEO of GE Insurance Solutions, one of the world's largest reinsurance and insurance organizations from 2000 to 2006. From 1997 to 2000 he was president and CEO of GE Capital Real Estate, and prior to that he was CEO of GE Energy Europe for three years, during which GE purchased its current Oil & Gas business unit in Italy. From 1992 to 1995 Mr. Pressman led several business units for GE Energy in the U.S., including the Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine Generator and Hydro businesses. He also spent three years helping GE re-enter the Central and Eastern European markets, serving as general manager of these regions for GE International. He began his career with GE in 1980. Mr. Pressman has also been involved in many civic and educationally oriented activities in his communities. He is currently chairman of the National Board of a Better Chance and director of Pathways to College. Mr. Pressman is a graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, New York.

    Tatum Lau

    Project Director, The Oval Partnership, Ltd.

    Tatum is currently a Senior Architectural Designer at Oval Partnership, overseeing multiple large scale cultural retail projects. Prior to returning to Hong Kong, she practiced in Kohn Pedersen Fox New York; building an array of international architecture experience, from designing and constructing commercial supertall projects in Shenzhen to masterplanning and partaking in the community engagement process of residential site in New York. To further grasp the Hong Kong real estate market, Tatum gained Capital Market experience in Colliers International which prompted her commitment to Urban Land Institute Hong Kong. She sits on the executive committee of the Young Leaders Group (YLG) and is the Project Chair of the Art in Place initiative. Having received her Bachelor of Architecture at Cornell University and her Master of Architecture in Urban Design with a concentration in Real Estate at Harvard University, Tatum is eager to improve the built environment through bridging her passion in socio-economic development, human centric design, and creative placemaking.

    Cheryl Gourley

    Development Director, Crane Capital (HK) Limited

    Cheryl has over 12 years of experience within the real estate and construction industry. At Crane Capital, Cheryl is responsible for the oversight of development-related projects within Asia Pacific, whilst driving sustainability initiatives across the real-estate portfolio. Prior to joining Crane Capital, Cheryl worked for leading architecture, engineering and project management consultancies. Architect by profession, she diverse experience delivering projects from residential, rail, commercial to conservation, spanning Asia Pacific, EMEA and North America. Cheryl is chartered by the Royal Institute of British Architects, Architects Registration Board and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

    Chaoni Huang

    Managing Director, Head of Sustainable Capital Markets APAC, BNP Paribas

    As Head of Sustainable Capital Markets Asia Pacific, Chaoni leads BNP Paribas’s sustainable finance solutions across asset classes for corporates, financial institutions and investors. Leading a growing Sustainable Capital Markets team and working with Global Markets, Capital Markets Group and coverage teams in Asia Pacific and the Banks’s global sustainable finance community, Chaoni drives BNP Paribas’s continued expansion and leadership in Asian sustainable capital markets. Chaoni is an industry veteran with over 15 years of experience in sustainable finance having held various ESG-related roles at Natixis, S&P Trucost, MSCI and the United Nations. In addition to her role at BNP Paribas, Chaoni is also highly involved in the forwarding Asia’s ESG agenda through driving the development of sustainable finance ecosystems, education and advocacy in the region. She is Vice President and Secretary General of the Hong Kong Green Finance Association and was a guest researcher at both the Green Finance Center at Tsinghua University and the China Economy and Sustainable Development Centre at the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. Chaoni received her Bachelor of Economics from the University of Warwick.

    Ariel Shtarkman

    Founder, Orca Capital Ltd

    Ariel Shtarkman is the Founder of Orca Capital, boutique investment practice focused on real estate and real estate technology (proptech). She is also the co-Founder and Managing Director of Atom Assets, a real estate investment platform for family offices. Previously, Ariel was with Citibank Real Estate Structured Finance in Hong Kong, where she structured debt instruments for real estate developers, REITs and private equity funds. Before joining Citibank, she worked in real estate private equity funds sponsored by ING Clarion in New York (covering US) and ING Real Estate Investment Management in Hong Kong (covering Asia). Ariel holds an MBA from Columbia Business School with concentration in Real Estate, and BSc from Tel Aviv University with double major in Computer Science and Business Administration. She serves as Senior Content Advisor for ULI Asia Pacific, is a member of the ULI North Asia Executive Committee, and a founding member of Columbia Business School Alumni Network of Hong Kong. Ariel is fluent in English, Hebrew and Russian, and conversant in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Her other interests include martial arts, travel, integration of technology and real estate and the future of education.

    Karen Lee

    Project Manager I (Spatial), Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation

    Karen is a chartered town planner and project manager specialising in urban integration and city management strategies. Before joining JCDISI she was the technical manager for the Elizabeth Line project in the UK and the Walk DVRC project HK. She is the co-author of the “Tackling Double Ageing with Double Smart” article which won the HKIP Awards in 2019, she also won the HKIP Silver Awards for the Ma Wan Old Village revitalisation project for its innovative approach in injecting life and vibrancy in an idle village through conservation and community building. Karen’s keen interest in human-centric design sees her leading a number of participatory co-design projects focusing on design for well-being and creating shared value through cross-sector collaborations, including Transitional Social Housing, reinventing open space through the intergenerational play space design concept, health and wellbeing of children living in Subdivided Unit, community planning for an age-friendly community and transformation of the Residential Child Care Services with NGOs. She has a Masters in Urban Regeneration, Masters in Public Administration and PgD in Innovation and Design Thinking.

    Mr Evan Auyang is the Group President of Animoca Brands, a Hong Kong-based multinational blockchain technology and investment company focused on developing the digital property rights ecosystem, including play-to-earn games, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), decentralized finance (DeFi), blockchain marketplaces, infrastructure and more. Mr Auyang is also the Chairman of the Board of Civic Exchange, a non-partisan public policy think tank. He serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director on three boards: the Urban Renewal Authority, Sun Hung Kai & Co. Ltd., and Asia Financial Holdings Limited. He is an Advisor for Our Hong Kong Foundation, and serves on the Innovation and Technology Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Transport Policy Committee of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, the Development Fund Committee of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, the Advisory Council for Institute at Brown for Environment and Society for Brown University, as well as the Board of Advisors of Hong Kong 2050 is Now. Before GLG, Mr Auyang was the Deputy Managing Director of the Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) and a board director of Transport International Holdings Limited, the parent company of KMB.     Doryun Chong

    Deputy Director, Curatorial and Chief Curator, M+

    Doryun Chong oversees all curatorial activities and programmes at M+, including acquisitions, exhibitions, learning and public programmes, and digital initiatives encompassing the museum’s three main disciplinary areas of design and architecture, moving image, and visual art, as well as the thematic area of Hong Kong visual culture. Since joining M+ as the inaugural Chief Curator in 2013, Doryun has led the transformative growth of the M+ Collections and steered the curatorial direction and pedagogical practices of the museum’s exhibitions and programmes to foreground the transcultural and transnational narratives of twentieth- and twenty-first-century visual culture. Prior to joining M+, Doryun worked in various curatorial capacities at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco (1999–2000), the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis (2003–2009), and the Museum of Modern Art in New York (2009–2013), curating several landmark exhibitions including major retrospectives of Tetsumi Kudo, Huang Yong Ping, and Haegue Yang, and the post-war survey Tokyo 1955–1970: A New Avant-Garde (2012). He also coordinated the Korean Pavilion at the 49th Venice Biennale in 2001. Doryun has served on numerous award juries and public panels across Asia, North America, and Europe.

    Deputy Chief Executive Officer (District Development), West Kowloon Cultural District Authority

    Wendy GAN is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (District Development) of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, overseeing the development and delivery of the infrastructure, arts and cultural facilities, and supporting facilities in the West Kowloon Cultural District. She also has lead responsibility for formulating the overarching strategies for driving business development and for the hotel, office, residential as well as retail, dining and entertainment facilities of the District. Ms Gan was the Executive Director of Pacific Century Premium Developments responsible for the overall sales and marketing strategies of the company’s property assets in Greater China, Japan and Southeast Asia. Before joining Pacific Century Premium Developments, Ms Gan headed the sales and marketing teams of Swire Properties across its residential, office and retail portfolio. Ms. Gan is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Hong Kong (“HKU”), a member of its Court and Finance Committee and an Honorary Director of the HKU Foundation for Educational Development and Research.     Executive Director, Fairland Holdings Ltd

    Douglas Wu is based in Hong Kong with a background in real estate investment and architecture. He is currently Executive Director of Fairland Holdings, a private real estate development company focused on value-add projects to refurbish and reposition older buildings in Hong Kong and overseas. Recent projects include refurbishment of the Fairview Park Town Centre neighborhood mall, and creating a new branded series of lifestyle buildings ‘Spark City’ located in Cheung Sha Wan & Mongkok. Upcoming projects also include upgrading a 40,000 sqft neighborhood mall in To Kwa Wan. Douglas obtained a Master of Architecture at Harvard University. He is the co-Chair of ULI NEXT HK and on the Executive Committee of ULI UrbanPlan.     Vikram Chellaram is the CEO of Mordril Properties. Before joining Mordril, he served as Managing Director of KC Maritime FZE in Dubai from 2004 to 2010, leading a strategy focused on dry-bulk shipping logistics for self-unloaders for aggregates, cement, and iron ore in India and the Gulf. Before his work in the Middle East, Mr Chellaram was based in New York and London, where he worked in asset management with Bank Julius Baer and Deutsche Bank.     David Faulkner, president of ULI Asia Pacific, is a Chartered Surveyor with over 40 years of experience in the real estate industry in the United Kingdom and Asia. The Urban Land Institute (ULI) is a nonprofit education and research institute supported by its members. Its mission is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide. Established in 1936, the Institute has more than 45,000 members worldwide representing all aspects of land use and development disciplines. Before taking his current position, Faulkner was managing director of Colliers International, where he was responsible for valuation and advisory services in the Asia region. He joined Colliers International in 2003 after 15 years with Insignia Brooke and has been based in Asia for over 35 years. He has advised on a variety of major projects in Hong Kong SAR, China, and many markets in the Asia region. His expertise covers valuations, feasibility studies, development consultancy, and structuring investments in all the major real estate sectors. Faulkner is a ULI global governing trustee and is also a trustee of the International Property Measurement Standards Coalition (IPMSC), a past member of the International Valuation Professional Board of the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC), a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Global Valuation Forum, and a practicing member of the Academy of Experts.

    Director, Urban Planning and Development, Jacobs

    Eli is an expert in sustainable urban development. His experience around the globe includes plans and initiatives for new and revitalised places, large-scale urbanisation and regional strategies, climate change strategy and policy, masterplanning for transit oriented development, reclamation and waterfront development, industry, tourism and leisure projects, and pioneering creation of a mechanism in the UK for low-carbon retrofit of existing buildings. Most recently Eli was Director of Atkins' Planning and Urban Design practice in Hong Kong and South East Asia and Net Zero leader for Asia; Regional Practice Lead for Consulting, Strategy and Advisory; and chair of Atkins' Urban Planning Global Network. He is currently an adjunct associate professor at the University of Hong Kong and a member of the Advisory Board of AMRACE (the Advanced Manufacturing Robotics Accelerator Centre of Excellence) in Malaysia. Eli is chair of the programming and events committee and a member of the executive committee at ULI Hong Kong, sits on the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design’s public affairs and international and mainland affairs committees, and was previously chair of the International Infrastructure Forum's net zero working group at the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. A graduate of The Johns Hopkins University and the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, Eli is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts.

    Benjamin Cha is the Founder and Chair of the Seradac Foundation, a think tank and foundation focused on projects related to place-making, the creative economy and society. He was recently appointed to the Board of HKR International, a leader in real estate development and investment, property management, luxury hotels and other investments in Hong Kong, Mainland China and across Asia, and to the Advisory Board of WEMP Education Foundation. Ben served as Chief Executive, Asia for UK based Grosvenor from 2014- June 2022, leading the business and capability across mainland China, Japan, and Hong Kong. During his tenure AUM for the business increased by 45%, two new joint ventures were established in the PRC and proprietary development was initiated in Japan. Prior to Grosvenor, Ben was Managing Director and Head of Global Real Estate for Greater China with UBS Global Asset Management and Co-CEO of UBS/Gemdale, a China property investment joint-venture. Before that he was with HKR International for over 11 years, ultimately as Executive Director and Head of HKR Asia-Pacific responsible for the company’s hospitality interests in Hong Kong and China as well as overall interests in SE Asia and Japan. Ben serves on the board of the Urban Land Institute, the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, and the M+ Museum. He is also on the board of Tai Kwun Culture and Arts Company Limited, and the Asia Art Archive Limited, serving as co-Chair.     John Pattar is Partner and Head of KKR’s Real Estate business in Asia Pacific. He joined KKR in 2018 and is based in Hong Kong. At the Firm, Mr. Pattar [played a key role in / led] the successful fundraise of KKR Asia Real Estate Partners (AREP), KKR’s inaugural Pan-Asian real estate investment fund. AREP, which has a US$1.7 billion corpus, has completed approximately 10 real estate transactions across Asia Pacific to date, and takes a flexible investment approach across assets and platforms in sectors including mixed use, commercial, industrial, hotel, office and retail properties. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Pattar was the CEO of CLSA Real Estate since 2004. At CLSA, Mr. Pattar built a Pan-Asian Real Estate Platform for the firm consisting of a value added fund, Fudo Capital with equity raised of US$2.2 billion and a Core Fund mandate with MEC (Mitsubishi Estates Corporation) managing US$600m gross AUM. He managed the day-to-day operation of Fudo Capital, property funds specifically targeting direct investment in real estate in Asia Pacific. On behalf of funds and principals of CLSA Capital Partners, Mr. Pattar sourced and completed property deals in Asia of approximately US$5 billion. Mr. Pattar has worked in Asian real estate markets for over 27 years; including South East Asia from 1992-1997, and in Hong Kong since 1998 covering principally North Asia. His extensive real estate experience covers property investment, development, capital transactions and asset management in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand and Australia.
