    As Executive Director of Asset Management, Xin Rui plays a leadership role to maximise value for 8M’s portfolio spanning retail, F&B, office and living assets.   Xin Rui worked across investment, asset and development management in S-REITs and real estate organisations for close to 20 years.  She enjoys creating and improving real estate products to make positive impact to tenants, shoppers, occupants and the surrounding local community.    Previously, Xin Rui was head of investment for Suntec REIT, leading acquisitions, divestments and overseeing asset management for Suntec’s portfolio in Australia and UK . Prior to that, she spent 2 years in Mandai Park Developments where she spearheaded asset development for the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree.   Xin Rui’s career started at CapitaLand, involved in various investment and asset management roles in the retail malls business and the S-REITs sector. The highlight of her career was 3 years working on feasibility analysis, product and development planning for Jewel Changi Airport.    Xin Rui holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Economics from the National University of Singapore.

    Anthony Couse

    Eden One Capital Pte Ltd

    Anthony Couse is the Ex-CEO of JLL Asia Pacific, a leading professional services firm that specialices in real estate and investment management. Based in Singapore, he was responsible for the company’s overall operations in 16 countries and a regional workforce of more than 45,000. During his three decades at the firm, Anthony has worked with investors and corporates in all areas of commercial real estate. He spent the last 31 years in Asia, helping lead JLL’s expansion across the region. He spent a decade in Mainland China, leading JLL’s operations in Shanghai and Eastern China, as well as the China Capital Markets business. Anthony’s passion for sustainability led him to pioneer the JLL office move in Shanghai in 2017, where it achieved the world’s first platinum ratings for both LEED v4 and WELL v1, which are the highest standards of building certification currently available globally. This set the benchmark for other award-winning JLL offices in India, Hong Kong and Singapore. Prior to that, he was based in Hong Kong for 13 years, holding a variety of leadership positions across the business. After studying biology at London University, where he graduated with Honors in 1987, he took a job in the city with real estate company De Groot Collis. He joined JLL in 1989 and transferred to Hong Kong in 1993. Anthony writes frequently about major trends affecting real estate markets, proptech and the future of work. He is also a strong advocate for sustainability as well as diversity and inclusion causes. He has featured on panel discussions for high profile organisations including the World Economic Forum, The Milken Institute, and the Asian association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles (ANREV). In his spare time, he keeps active by competing in marathons and triathlons.

    Jonathan Eu

    Chief Executive Officer, Singapore Land Group

    Jonathan Eu was appointed as the CEO of Singapore Land (SingLand) on 1 September 2021. Prior to his current appointment, he held the role of COO and was responsible for overseeing commercial operations with a key focus on developing the Group’s business growth and expansion strategy. Jonathan was also instrumental in the repositioning of the company from United Industrial Corporation Limited to SingLand and the associated brand refresh. Before joining SingLand, Jonathan spent 10 years with UOL Group Limited. He was the General Manager, Investment and Asset Management, and spearheaded innovation and digital transformation initiatives. Jonathan holds a degree from the University of Pennsylvania, USA where he graduated from the Wharton School with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and concentrations in Finance and Operations & Information Management. He also serves as a Director of several SingLand subsidiaries including SingLand Properties Limited and Marina Centre Holdings Pte Ltd.     Magdelene Chua

    Real Estate Partner, PwC Singapore

    Magdelene is a Partner with PwC Singapore with over 24 years of professional experience providing assurance and financial advisory services to multinational and listed clients. Her main focus is on the real estate industry and her key clients include sovereign wealth funds, real estate developers, real estate investors, funds and hotels. Previously, she has spent four years with the Global Capital Markets Group and M&A team, including a tour of duty to the London office.​ Beyond her experience in financial and operational audit, she has accumulated specific experience in corporate governance, financial reporting, investigations, global capital markets, data audits, M&A transactions, post- deal implementation and finance effectiveness. She is passionate about digitalisation, and in her previous role as PwC’s Assurance Transformation Program Leader in Singapore, she was a key member of the Asia Pacific Digital Steering Committee and responsible for driving the digital strategy and transformation agenda for the Assurance practice in Singapore.​ Magdelene has been conferred a Fellow Chartered Accountant of Singapore by ISCA and CPA Australia. Within ISCA, she serves as a member in the Valuation Committee. She is part of the firm’s real estate focus group and active within the real estate community. At the Urban Land Institute, she serves as a Global Governing Trustee and co-chairs the finance committee as a member on the Urban Land Institute Asia Pacific Board. Beyond real estate, she serves as a Board and Audit Committee member at the Singapore National Parks Board and the Stroke Support Station.​

    Andrew MacGeoch

    Partner, Head of Asia Real Estate and Infrastructure, Global Co-Head of Hotels Group, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP

    A market-leader in the Corporate Real Estate, Hospitality and Project sectors. Andrew has been representing developers, owners, institutional investors, governments and statutory corporations for nearly 30 years in Asia on a range of and development matters. He has extensive experience in dealing with infrastructure developments and mixed-use projects from power generating plants to stadia, multi-purpose venues and exhibition centres with a significant focus on hospitality projects and integrated resorts. He is passionate about principled negotiations, problem solving and the drafting of the full range of corporate and commercial agreements required for such projects (including joint ventures, project concession and development agreements, facilities management, leases and related contracts. His practice involves projects throughout Asia. He is best known for his work across Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand. He regularly advises on the drafting and negotiation of hotel management and related agreements and has been involved in transactions (acting primarily for owners) involving more than 50 hotel and lodging brands. These include the Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, Marriott, Intercontinental, Sofitel, Grand Hyatt, Aman, Shangri-la, St. Regis, W, Sheraton, Regent, Mandarin Oriental, Six Senses, Le Meridien, Novotel and many other brands for hotels and serviced apartments. He is a regular writer on hotel topics and frequent presenter and moderator at hotel and real estate investment conferences. He has co-chaired the Asian Hospitality Development Council for ULI (Urban Land Institute). He has also chaired the M&A Deal of The Year Awards at HICAP for a number of years and sits on the advisory board of HICAP.     Vinamra Srivastava

    Chief Sustainability & Sustainable Investments Officer, CapitaLand Investment

    Mr. Vinamra Srivastava is the Chief Sustainability & Sustainable Investments Officer of CapitaLand Investment (CLI). Vinamra oversees the Group Sustainability function globally and is responsible for formulating and integrating the Group’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy, policies and best practices into its business and operations, helping CLI to achieve its sustainability targets, deliver long-term economic value to stakeholders and foster a culture of sustainability across the organization. Prior to this role, Vinamra was CEO, Business Parks for CapitaLand India since 2018. He oversaw real estate investments, private equity fund management, asset management, development management, leasing & marketing, operations, strategic planning and sustainability strategy for growing CapitaLand’s business parks portfolio in India. Vinamra also led multiple sustainability projects across India, including evaluating investments in developing solar farms, formulating renewable power purchase agreements, installing rooftop solar panels, implementing digital technologies to improve energy and water efficiency, piloting zero-waste solutions and improving health & wellness quotients of the buildings. He previously headed Group Corporate Strategy & Development for Ascendas-Singbridge between 2015 and 2018. In that role, Vinamra contributed to the successful Ascendas-Singbridge post-merger integration process, oversaw formulation of the company’s corporate strategy, formed entry strategies into new businesses and geographies, and played a key leadership role to develop the India growth strategy. Prior to joining CLI, Vinamra was a management consultant having worked with firms like Roland Berger, Arthur D Little, Cisco Systems and BCG. He has diverse experience in the areas of growth strategy, new market entry, infrastructure investments, due-diligence, M&A, and feasibility studies among others. He has led projects in multiple geographies including South-East Asia, India, China, Middle East, Europe, and Africa. Vinamra holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from University of Pune.

    Darren Sabom

    Managing Director, Investment Management, 8M Real Estate Pte Ltd

    Darren Sabom is the Managing Director of Investment Management at 8M Real Estate, a boutique real estate investment and operating firm in Singapore. With over two decades of experience in real estate investment, asset management, and development, he plays a pivotal role in organisation, overseeing acquisitions, and optimising portfolio performance. Prior to joining 8M, he worked at SC Capital Partners, where he was responsible for portfolio management, value enhancement, realization activities, and the operations of the firm’s opportunistic funds. From 2014-2017, he worked at Invesco Real Estate as the Head of Underwriting (APAC) and Southeast Asia Acquisitions, where he was responsible for ensuring the integrity and consistency of the regional underwriting process as well as sourcing investment opportunities across Southeast Asia. From 2012-2014, he was Senior Vice President at Fine Grain Property in Singapore, where he sourced new deals and managed existing investments, the most notable of which was the ground-up development of a 300-room, SS180 million hotel. Mr. Sabom began his career in the real estate industry as an apprentice carpenter before working his way up to project manager for a developer of high-end energy efficient homes. Mr. Sabom received his MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, and a BA in Biology from Occidental College in Los Angeles . After college, Mr. Sabom spent two years in Micronesia as a volunteer with the United States Peace Corps.

    Managing Director, Real Estate, Blackstone Group

    Ambika Goel is a Managing Director in the Real Estate Group and is based in Singapore. Ms. Goel is involved in Blackstone Real Estate’s capital raising, investor relations and business development across Asia. Before joining Blackstone in 2020, Ms. Goel spent nine years at GLP focusing on fund management, investor relations and capital markets. Prior to that, she was a Portfolio Manager and Co-Founder of Land & Buildings – a real estate hedge fund based in Greenwich, CT. Ms. Goel began her career in New York at Citigroup Investment Research and was ranked #1 Retail REIT Analyst by the Greenwich Survey in 2007. Ms. Goel received a BS in Economics with a double concentration in Finance and Accounting from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a CFA Charterholder.

    Fook Loong Chong

    Chief Town Planner / Group Director (Research & Planning) , Housing & Development Board

    Dr Chong Fook Loong is the Group Director (Urban Planning Group) at the Housing & Development Board (Singapore) since 2014 and he is concurrently the HDB’s Chief Town Planner. He was an architect in the former Architecture Department from 1990 before joining the former Research and Planning Department in 2003. As Group Director, Dr Chong leads and manages 6 departments to provide directions in terms of strategic planning, comprehensive town planning and urban design, and research; for projects which range from the regional and town level to the local level. Some of the master planning projects that Dr Chong has led included Punggol, Tampines North, the brand new town of Tengah. These projects have been developed along fresh planning concepts with emphasis on liveability and integration with nature. Under his leadership, a new series of HDB Town Design Guides are being formulated, to strengthen town identities, at three levels of scale from town, to neighbourhood and to precinct level. For the rejuvenation of existing towns, HDB’s Remaking Of Heartland (ROH) programme were carried out for towns such as Toa Payoh, Woodlands and Pasir Ris and the latest 4th series of towns at Ang Mo Kio, Bukit Merah, Choa Chu Kang and Queenstown. Since 2020, Dr Chong has been leading the planning and design of the Health District @ Queenstown, which is a collaboration by HDB, National University Health System (NUHS) and National University of Singapore (NUS).

    Head of Wealth Markets, Private Funds, CapitaLand Investment

    Cheryl Seet is the Head of Wealth Markets at CapitaLand Investment and responsible for establishing the wealth business, a key component in the organization’s long-term growth. Prior to this appointment, she led the Group Strategy team which develops the long-term strategy for the Group. Her role included identifying strategic business focus areas and working with business units to formulate corporate strategies so as to drive growth. She also identified emerging business trends in order to establish new platforms for the firm. Her professional experience spans over 20 years in real estate, investments, and investment banking. • Previously, she was the Director of Investments and Capital Partners at Ascendas-Singbridge where she supported the firm’s expansion in Australia and its entry into the United States through acquisitions of office properties. • Prior to this, she held various positions across multiple groups in Temasek International, including investments, portfolio management and enterprise development. • She started her career at Lehman Brothers in London, the United Kingdom and Menlo Park, the United States where she advised technology and industrial companies and investors on mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, leveraged buyouts and various forms of financing. Currently serving as a Co-Chair of ULI Singapore NEXT Steering Committee, she supports the ULI mission and its commitments to convene, inspire and lead. Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

    Karthik is a city planning and design expert who has shaped the future of many developments around the world. Karthik Karkal is the Head of Strategy and Planning at SM Smart City Infrastructure and Development Corporation (a fully owned subsidiary of SM Prime Holdings), responsible for delivering integrated master planning projects under its portfolio.     Executive Director, Property Services and Chief Operating Officer, Far East International, Far East Organization Pte Ltd

    Marc is the Executive Director of the Property Services Division and Chief Operating Officer of Far East International at Far East Organization. He leads the conceptualisation and execution of the Organization’s real estate strategies, identifying, acquiring, and designing the development of new sites and real estate assets in both Singapore and overseas markets. Marc serves as 2nd Vice-President of the Real Estate Developers’ Association of Singapore (REDAS) and is a committee member of Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) Design Advisory Committee. Before joining Far East Organization in 2014, Marc held nearly two decades of leadership roles in planning and policy development at Singapore’s URA and the Ministry of National Development.     Director, SMU Urban Institute

    Orlando Woods joined SMU in 2017. He holds BA (First Class Honours) and PhD degrees in Geography from University College London and the National University of Singapore respectively. His interdisciplinary research agenda spans social, cultural and political geography; urban studies; new media and communications; and critical infrastructure studies. Empirically, his work focuses on South and Southeast Asia. Currently, he serves as Associate Dean (Research and Postgraduate Programmes) at the College of Integrative Studies, and Director of the SMU Urban Institute.

    Jason Lee is Head of Asia Pacific and Chief Investment Officer for AEW Asia Pacific. He is also a member of the AEW Asia Pacific Investment and Risk Management Committees. Jason has nearly 30 years of experience implementing value-add and numerous investment strategies including, identifying, structuring, and underwriting of investment opportunities. Prior roles include being a Director of Merrill Lynch’s Asia Opportunistic Real Estate Fund and the Global Principal Investments Group. Jason is a graduate of Cornell University (B.S.), holds an M.S. from MIT and is fluent in Mandarin and English.     Jennifer Tay leads the PwC Singapore Infrastructure Advisory Practice and is a Partner in the firm’s Deals Advisory Practice. She has close to 20 years of experience in infrastructure – particularly in large scale financial transactions and strategic advisory, supporting both public and private sectors across Asia.     Andrew Heithersay is a Managing Director, Partner and Investment Committee Member of SC Capital Partners Group, with investment responsibilities across Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining SC Capital Partners in 2013, Mr. Heithersay held senior leadership positions with LaSalle Investment Management throughout his 20-year service with the Group. He was one of three founding members of LaSalle’s Asia-Pacific business and, most recently, International Director and Head of Acquisitions, Asia-Pacific (ex Japan). Earlier roles included Director of JLL Hotel’s valuation and advisory division in Sydney and Jakarta, followed by Director of Sandalwood Hotel Investment Company (a joint venture between LaSalle & Host Marriott Corporation). Andrew earned an MBA from Macquarie University Graduate School of Management, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and a Bachelor of Business in Property from the University of South Australia. He is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Andrew was based in Asia from 1997 and relocated to Australia in May 2021.

Christine has a proven track record of delivering insightful and actionable research and analysis across various property sectors, such as office, industrial, residential, student accommodation, multi-family, and data centres.     Ar. Tan Szue Hann, MBA, M. Arch, is an ESG and sustainable development professional and strategist in sustainability. He is currently Head of Sustainability and Deputy General Manager, Sustainable Urban Renewal, at Keppel’s Real Estate Division. He has been Director of Sustainability Development and Engineering at Marina Bay Sands, and Chairman of Sustainability, Singapore Institute of Architects. In 2021, with a group of international sustainability leaders, he co-founded IxSA (Innovation x Sustainability Alliance), a non-profit global think tank. He has also been a Board Member of the Singapore Green Building Council, and an invited member of the BCA Green Built-Environment Advisory Committee. He has previously been Managing Director of MINIWIZ, a Temasek-supported circular economy company that turns waste materials into architecture and products, and was Head of Sustainability and Resiliency at Singapore-based global infrastructure consultancy Surbana Jurong from 2013-18. Hann obtained an MBA with Distinction from Northumbria University in 2022, with a thesis on strategic management in businesses through ESG. He has a Certificate of He graduated with M Arch from the National University of Singapore (NUS), with a visiting fellowship to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2007, and a BA Arch (First Class Honours) in 2006. On graduation, he was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Medal, Board of Architects Medal, and the ICI Gold Medal. He is a Registered Architect in Singapore, and also an appointed World Cities Summit Young Leader (from 2016), and BCA Built Environment Young Leader (from 2016), both by the Ministry of National Development, Singapore. He has also taught multiple sustainability and architecture courses at local universities NUS and SUTD. Hann was also Singapore’s 2015-16 Young Green Architect of the Year, awarded by BCA-SGBC, and a Minister's Award recipient (2017), Singapore. He was elected Chairman of the ARCASIA (Architects Regional Council Asia) Committee for Young Architects (2017-18) and in 2017, was inducted into Generation T, a group of society and community changemakers below the age of 40, as one of Cartier’s 5 Bright Sparks, by Asia Tatler. In 2019, he was inducted into the Prestige 40 Under 40 List, by Prestige Singapore, as one of the leading Changemakers in the nation. He was also awarded the inaugural BCA Young Leader Advocate Award 2019, for his work in sustainability and the built environment. Hann's sustainable development portfolio includes the award-winning ParkRoyal on Pickering, the SPACE Asia Hub and the Ogilvy & Mather office with WOHA; the BCA SkyLab, a rotatable test bed for building technologies, which won a Minister’s Award on Singapore’s National Day, 2017. He has also managed the design of an 8000-hectare circular economy master plan north of Bangkok, and an IT campus in Bangalore. He has spoken in numerous international conferences, including the World Cities Summit 2019 in Medellin, Colombia, the UN-organised 2019 Asia Pacific Urban Forum 7 in Penang, COP25 in Madrid in December 2019, and the UN Global Compact Network Summit in 2022.
