    Carolyn Salzer

    Cushman & Wakefield

    Carolyn Salzer is the Director and Head of Industrial Research for the Americas working with the Logistics and Industrial Services group as well as a member of Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Research Think Tank. She leads the team and contributes to the coordination and production of local, regional, national and corporate research analyses. She oversees quarterly reporting, statistical production, and forecasting for 80 markets within the Americas. Within this role, she collects and analyzes statistics from all industrial markets tracked by Cushman & Wakefield to educate clients and the firm’s 840 industrial professionals on current research trends and tools. Salzer is also a sought-after speaker for industry events and internal conferences, having spoken at ULI, INTERCHANGE 2019, Property Counsel of Australia 2021 Outlook and CSCMP. Salzer also participates in the design and development of new, enhanced products and services for Cushman & Wakefield professionals and clients. She interacts with all service lines in order to gain market insight, proactively seeks market activity information, and coordinates research department interaction with local governmental entities. Prior to becoming the Head of Logistics and Industrial Research for the Americas, Salzer served as the Associate Director for Industrial in the Americas working with the Logistics & Industrial Services group and led industrial research at Cushman & Wakefield for the Chicago market. Salzer attended Miami University in Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology with a Minor in Spanish.

    David Jamieson

    Kimco Realty Corp.

    David Jamieson is Chief Operating Officer of Kimco Realty Corporation. Mr. Jamieson joined Kimco in 2007, and most recently served as Executive Vice President of Asset Management and Operations, where his role has been to develop and execute Kimco’s long-term asset management strategy at a national level. Working closely with regional leadership, he is responsible for day to day operations with a focus on identifying and implementing opportunistic value creation strategies that optimize the company’s portfolio performance, most notably by leading Kimco’s regional teams and their redevelopment and selective ground-up development efforts. Mr. Jamieson has also previously served as Vice President of Asset Management and Leasing for Kimco’s Western Region, and as Director of Real Estate for the Western Region. Prior to joining Kimco, Mr. Jamieson was a redevelopment specialist for an urban fund on the east coast. Mr. Jamieson received a B.S. degree from Boston College, and an M.B.A. from Babson College. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and an accredited LEED AP.

    Tom Errath

    Harrison Street

    Mr. Errath has spent the majority of his career in the real estate industry ranging from real estate private equity to property leasing and development. Mr. Errath is currently a Managing Director for Harrison Street Real Estate. In this role he is responsible for developing firm strategy and thought leadership in the education (off-campus and on-campus student housing), healthcare (medical office, life sciences and senior housing) and storage (self storage and data storage) real estate segments. Mr. Errath also leads new business development efforts for Harrison Street as it contemplates growth strategies into new markets, both domestic and international and complementary real estate segments. He is an alternative real estate expert and frequent speaker and author on the education, healthcare and storage alternative real estate segments. He formerly was responsible for all boat storage acquisitions and asset management at Harrison Street. He is a Product Council member of PPPC Gold. Prior to Harrison Street, Mr. Errath’s real estate experience included positions at Macquarie Real Estate, Heitman and the Trammell Crow Company. He also ran corporate development and corporate real estate for a Fortune 500 consumer products firm. Mr. Errath has a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from the JL Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University

    Mary Ludgin

    Senior Managing Director & Director of Global Investment Research, Heitman

    Mary Ludgin is Heitman’s Head of Global Investment Research. She is a partner of the firm and holds a seat on its investment, valuation, and global management committees. She holds an AB from Vassar College and an MA and Ph.D. from Northwestern University. Mary was a Global Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and she chaired ULI’s Chicago District Council. She chairs the board of ULI’s Center for Sustainability and Economic Performance. She served as Chair of the Pension Real Estate Association, President of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, and President of the Real Estate Research Institute. Mary is a fellow of the Homer Hoyt Institute for Real Estate Research and a member of LAI, the honorary real estate society. Mary was the 2019 recipient of the Pension Real Estate Association’s James A. Graaskamp award, which recognizes researchers whose work contributes to the common body of knowledge regarding real estate investment.

    Heather Arnold

    CEO and Founder, Via Metrics, LLC

    Heather Arnold is a real estate economist as well as the CEO of Via Metrics, LLC, a firm dedicated to providing data-driven projections and solutions for retail real estate. With over 20 years of experience, Heather has guided transformational, commercial initiatives at the site, city, and county levels across the country. From her work with Flint, MI; Detroit, MI; Tampa, FL; Vancouver, BC; and Washington, DC (to name a few), Heather has become a published authority on mixed-use affordable housing; downtown economies and recoveries; and retail operations strategy. In addition to her “day job”, Heather teaches Foundations of Real Estate Markets at Georgetown University and is a visiting professor at the University of Virginia. She holds a Bachelor of Architectural History from the University of Virginia and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Cornell University.

    Ryan Severino

    Chief Economist, JLL

    Ryan Severino is the chief economist at JLL where he manages the economics team and is responsible for global and regional economic research, analysis and forecasting as well as property market forecasting. Prior to JLL, Ryan served as senior economist and director of research at Reis in the research and economics department, the team responsible for the firm's market forecasting, valuation, and portfolio analytics services. Ryan also served as the Associate Director of Research at MetLife Real Estate Investments where he was responsible for macroeconomic and real estate market analysis, formulating portfolio strategy, and conducting deal reviews. Before joining MetLife, Ryan served as the Director of Investment Strategy and Market Research at Starwood Capital Group where he directed the entire research effort at the firm. Ryan has also held research positions at Prudential Real Estate Investors and UBS. Additionally, Ryan currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of finance and economics at Columbia University and New York University teaching courses such as Urban Economics, Portfolio and Risk Management, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics. He also has experience in real estate asset management, portfolio management, and acquisitions. Ryan's original research has appeared in a number of journals such as the Wharton Real Estate Review and The Real Estate Finance Journal. His assessments of market conditions have appeared in international publications like The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Financial Times and on business networks such as CNBC and Bloomberg. Ryan is a member of the CFA Institute, the American Economic Association, ULI, and NCREIF. Ryan holds a master's degree from Columbia University, where he studied International Finance and Economics, a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University, where he studied Finance, Japanese, and Economics, and is a CFA Charterholder.

    Suzanne Mulvee

    Senior Vice President, Research and Strategy, GID

    Suzanne Mulvee serves as Senior Vice President of Research and Strategy at GID and is responsible for creating actionable insights into economic drivers, capital market trends, and real estate fundamentals to maximize risk-adjusted returns across real estate cycles. Prior to joining GID, Mulvee was a Director and Real Estate Strategist at CoStar Portfolio Strategy and PPR. There, she was a consultant to some of the largest investment managers, life insurers, pension funds, banks, and private equity funds in the U.S., providing independent expertise in real estate market, portfolio, and mortgage risk analysis.

    Peter Borzak

    Pine Tree

    Peter Borzak is the Chairman, CEO and Co-Founder of Pine Tree Commercial Realty, LLC. In that role, he has been developing, acquiring, managing, operating, and selling grocery- and boxanchored open-air shopping centers for over 26 years. Pine Tree currently manages 117 shopping centers representing approximately 18.5 million square feet and approximately $3.1 billion in value across the continental United States. Pine Tree has offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Minneapolis. Pine Tree’s client base is primarily global institutional investors and includes some of the most preeminent real estate owners in the world. Mr.

    Melinda McLaughlin

    SVP, Global Head of Research and Geospatial Analytics, Prologis

    Ms. McLaughlin tracks, analyzes, and forecasts logistics of the real estate fundamentals and structural industry trends, and translates insights into strategic decision-making for Prologis. Her other areas of specialization include supply chain reconfiguration, location differentiation, and econometric modeling. Before joining Prologis in March 2015, Ms. McLaughlin was a Vice President at Rosen Consulting Group, a boutique firm that provides economic, housing and commercial real estate strategic consulting services to a diverse roster of clients. Ms. McLaughlin holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Real Estate. In 2020, she was deemed one of San Francisco Business Times’ Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business and the Prologis Research team was named one of GlobeSt.com’s Industrial Influencers. She is also a member of the Urban Land Institute.

    Chris Igwe

    Founder, Chris Igwe International

    Chris Igwe is one of the world’s leading authorities on global retail and highly sought after for his passionate views, deep knowledge and great insights. Based in Paris, he is special advisor to global brands, owners and investors on strategic matters at his own consultancy firm, Chris Igwe International. He is also Managing Partner at More Or Less, a company which represents exclusively tenants in their portfolio and lease-related problems. Chris is Co-Chair of the ULI Europe Retail and Entertainment Council and a member of the European leadership of ULI. From 2007 to 2015 he was Senior Director EMEA and Head of Retail, France at CBRE, and before that, Head of Real Estate Europe at Gap, and prior to that Head of Real Estate Europe at Foot Locker Europe. Chris was also Managing Director Europe for ICSC. Retail clients have included 7 For All Mankind, Aesop, Costco, Disney, Farrow & Ball, Fossil, Hard Rock Café, Michael Kors, Nike, Sunglass Hut, Swarovski, TUMI, Vapiano. Landlord clients have included AEW, Apsys, Deutsche Bank, Eurodisney, FREO, Grosvenor, Inter Ikea, Value Retail, Unibail Rodamco. Chris is an international speaker, former Jury Member for ICSC, RLI, CNCC, and a long-standing Steering Committee Member and Conference Master of Ceremony (2011 – 2019) for MAPIC. He has also lectured for ICSC, UK’s Bayfield Training, EFAP MBA in Paris and Abu Dhabi Paris Sorbonne University. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer, holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering. Chris was recognised by his peers as a recipient of the “2014 ICSC Award for Outstanding Service to the Research Community”.
