Nearly 200 stakeholders came together in Washington, DC on June 21, 2012 to explore the emerging issue of future demand and its impact on housing opportunity. Hosted by the ULI Terwilliger Center for Housing, Moving Out: How Future Demand Will Impact Housing Opportunity featured an outstanding line-up of nationally recognized experts that explored questions, including:
- Why and how does future demand matter for housing opportunity?
- How should the industry respond to the release of pent-up demand?
- What policy and finance (federal, state, local) changes may be needed to support this response?
- Given changing demographics and preferences, what should a healthy, re-balanced housing landscape look like as we think about the future demand?
Panelists and participants shared ideas on creating and sustaining housing opportunities for individuals and families across a range of incomes in the face of rapidly shifting demographics and preferences. Please explore the event resources below to learn more about Moving Out.
