Peter Ballon
Global Chair

Peter Ballon is the global head of real estate for CPP Investments and is responsible for the global real estate portfolio, which is diversified across twenty global markets and currently exceeds C$50 Billion. Prior to joining CPP Investments in 2007, Peter worked with several leading real estate companies, including Canderel, Brookfield and TrizecHahn. Peter holds a BComm from McGill University and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business and has been granted the ICD.D designation by the Institute of Corporate Directors. He is on the board of Brazilian public company Aliansce Sonae and is a Trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

He became global chair of the Urban Land Institute on July 1, 2021, and sits on the Global Board of Directors. He is also a ULI Global Governing Trustee and a member of the ULI Foundation Board of Directors.
