Working together, we can reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, which will build value in the real estate asset class.
Cleaner buildings benefit society at large, and there is clear evidence that properties with lower carbon emissions increase in value through the use of proven, energy-reducing management strategies and technologies. The mission of the ULI Greenprint Center for Building Performance is to lead the global real estate community toward value-enhancing carbon-reduction strategies that support the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change goals for global greenhouse gas stabilization by 2030. The ULI Greenprint Center will achieve its goals through education and action.
With the support and active participation of its members, the ULI Greenprint Center is committed to reducing the real estate industry’s carbon footprint and testing and evaluating a wide range of alternatives to lower carbon emissions for all institutional property types. The Greenprint Performance Report provides a consolidated view of participating properties, describing their current carbon footprints and providing an important benchmark with which to measure progress in reducing carbon emissions.
